KICK OFF YOUR SHOES! MY STUDIO CLEANING PRACTICES
The health, safety and well-being of your family is my highest priority. When it comes to studio sanitation in preparation for your session, it’s a process I don’t take lightly. Since my photography studio is home based, I take extra precautions to keep both your family and mine safe.
Kick Off Your Shoes!
To reduce the amount of dirt and germs being tracked into my home studio and onto the floors, you will be asked to remove your shoes before entering. Strollers must be parked outside on the covered porch. Infant car seats may be brought in and left near the door.
Regular Handwashing is a Must
You will be asked to wash or sanitize your hands immediately upon entering the studio. Hand sanitizer is available or you may wash using soap and water in the adjacent bathroom. As your photographer, I will frequently disinfect with hand sanitizer throughout the session, taking care to resanitize before holding and posing your littles.
Linens, Swaddles & Clothing are Laundered Between Sessions
This is a standard practice at my studio! All fabric backdrops, swaddles, and burp cloths will be laundered after each session. I only use mild, organic, baby-safe detergent (Dreft) to ensure baby's sensitive skin stays safe, and carefully disinfect my handmade accessories.
A Clean Studio for Every Session
This is another standard practice and extra emphasis is always put on cleaning the studio between each session. Disinfecting products including Groves Natural Cleanings supplies will be used to clean hard surfaces. An air purifier has been installed that will run before, during, and after your session to reduce airborne germs and irritants. My studio is also fully stocked with masks (for those that request them), hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies. Rest assured that my home studio is a safe and clean environment for you and your family.
Immediate Family Only
In order to minimize exposure and keep foot traffic to a minimum in the studio for my newborn sessions, only two family members plus baby will be allowed to attend the session. Unless they are being included in the session, I ask that you leave older siblings home with a family member or caretaker.
Feeling Sick? You Must Reschedule your Session
If you or anyone in your household is sick, showing signs of flu-like symptoms or has had recent known exposure to the flu, RSV or Covid-19, you must reschedule. No exceptions! Please reach out via phone or email so that I can reschedule your session for you. If you come to your session and are visibly showing flu-like symptoms, you will be sent home and the session fee will be forfeited. I take these precautions very seriously to keep both your family and mine safe. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to contact me.
