Newborn Session Details

Newborn sessions are designed to be calm, flexible, and fully guided so parents can relax and enjoy the experience. Many families begin with Maternity Sessions before baby arrives and continue with Family Sessions as their little one grows. I take care of the styling, flow, and creative direction so you can simply show up, relax, and be present.

Your session includes:

  • A personalized 2–3 hour studio or in-home experience

  • Newborn + family posing and gentle direction

  • Access to my curated client wardrobe for moms

  • Professional retouching and image refinement

  • A private in-person image reveal & design appointment

 
 

Newborn Session Investment

Session Fee | $250

The session fee reserves your newborn photography session with El & Em Photography and includes the planning and creative experience of your portrait session.

*Reserve your session during your consultation call and receive a $15 Thank-You Credit.

Your session fee includes:

  • Pre-session consultation and planning

  • Styling guidance for parents and baby

  • Access to my studio client wardrobe

  • A fully customized 2–3 hour newborn photography session

  • Private in-home or online image reveal & ordering appointment

*Session fee does not include digital images or artwork.

Newborn sessions may take place in my Rochester Hills studio or as an in-home newborn photography session. In-home newborn sessions are available for an additional $75 on-location fee.

Image & Artwork Collections

Collections begin at $600, with most families choosing to invest $900–$1,200 depending on the images and artwork they select.

There are no preset packages — you simply select the images and artwork that feel most meaningful for your family.

When Should I Book My Newborn Session?

Most families reserve their newborn session during the second trimester to ensure availability around their due date. Space is held on my calendar, and the exact session date is finalized once baby arrives.

Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first 7–14 days, when babies are sleepiest and most comfortable in those soft, curled newborn poses.
